Like many other varieties, Pinot Grigio was imported from France. The grape achieves excellence here and owes Collio much of its fame. This fruit-forward, characterful wine melds very special aromas from fermentation and partial maturation in oak, its initial swagger giving way to more harmonious perceptions that thrill the senses. Rich and elegant, with notes of black cherries in alcohol, blackcurrants, cocoa, graphite, humus, roasted coffee, rhubarb, leather, black pepper and cloves which create an intriguing and charming bouquet. Powerful, velvety and confident; Kaid is a particularly territorial and Mediterranean wine which seduces the taster with its unmistakable personality, admirably creating an articulate and full-bodied wine, further benefiting from the lively impulsiveness of its well-balanced tannin content.
